## What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol — the standard that takes AI from 'chatbot' to 'system that does things'. In plain language.

## Why does MCP exist?

Before MCP, every AI integration needed custom work: one connector for this CMS, another for that accounting package. MCP standardises it. A system offers its capabilities ('tools') once via MCP, and any AI model that speaks the protocol can work with it directly — safely, with clear boundaries on what is and isn't allowed.

## What does it mean for a business owner?
