Changelog
What's new in the FWRD portal. We work on the platform continuously — here's exactly what changed, and when.
Current version v1.22.1
-
v1.22.1
- Fixed The start page — where you begin a new site — stayed in English when you'd picked German, French, Spanish or Portuguese, including the sidebar and the preferences panel. Those are now fully translated, like the rest of the HUB.
-
v1.22.0
- New Your dashboard conversation history now shows your whole journey, not just individual chats: your intake conversation and the edits you made in the builder now appear too, clearly labelled. Key moments — like choosing to generate your site, your site being created, or market research being run — show up as clear milestone lines between the messages.
- New The AI chats now warn you when a conversation gets very long: you'll see a notice with a button to start a new chat so the AI stays sharp. For an exceptionally long conversation we'll ask you to start a fresh chat before continuing. Your site is always kept.
- Fixed The AI assistant in the builder now remembers your conversation. Follow-ups like 'remove it' or 'make it bigger' now refer to what you just changed — previously each message was read in isolation, so a follow-up like that often failed.
-
v1.21.0
- New The HUB now also speaks German, French, Spanish and Portuguese, alongside Dutch and English. Pick your language from the language menu and we'll remember it. New visitors are matched to the language that fits their country automatically.
-
v1.20.1
- Fixed The sidebar on the start page now opens by default when your screen is wide enough, so you can read what every button does instead of guessing at a row of unlabelled icons. Collapse it yourself and we remember that choice — and every icon gets a tooltip on hover.
-
v1.20.0
- Fixed A Deep review on a large site (many pages) sometimes incorrectly reported 'failed' right before the finish, even though the report was actually ready. The watchdog that aborts stuck reports was counting healthy intermediate steps; that's corrected, and a report that has already been saved is now always delivered properly. Large reviews also run noticeably faster.
-
v1.19.0
- New New: the Deep review. The agent reads every page of your site in full, identifies your market and looks up your direct competitors: what do they have that you're missing, and which opportunities is nobody in your market taking? You get a score per area (content, search visibility, conversion, technical and competitive position) that you can watch climb report over report, plus an unlimited number of improvement suggestions, ranked from quick win to strategic move. A deep review takes 5–10 minutes and runs entirely in the background — feel free to close the page, you'll get an email the moment your report is ready.
- New Every account gets one free Deep review. It unlocks once your site has been live for two weeks — so there's real data to discover something in — and you'll get an email the moment it's ready.
- New If the agent finds a technical issue on our side during a review, it reports it to FWRD itself and your report shows that it did — nothing for you to do.
- New If your last review is more than 30 days old, your dashboard now tells you: all visitor data since then is still unanalyzed. One click starts a fresh review or turns on weekly reports.
- New The assistant on the start page now builds your site to a plan. It recognises what kind of site you need (business, portfolio, event, club or personal page) and matches the tone — a personal site gets no sales talk. For a business it researches your competitors right away: what they do, what they miss, and how you get ahead. Before building you see a clear build plan — which sections, which style and why — and after building it honestly lists the assumptions it made so you can check them. Optionally leave your email and it digs even deeper into your market.
-
v1.18.1
- Fixed If you asked the builder assistant to carry over text from an existing page via a link (for example your privacy policy or terms & conditions), it created a page with placeholder text instead of the real content. The assistant now reads such a link itself and truly carries the text over — legal pages word-for-word, 1-on-1. If the link can't be read, it says so honestly instead of pretending.
- Fixed Gallery cards sometimes showed an English title on a Dutch-language site. That text was internal photo-search metadata and doesn't belong on your site: the card title is now simply the caption you see and edit yourself, in your site's language. Existing sites correct themselves on their next publish.
-
v1.18.0
- New Migrating from an existing site? The start chat now reads your current page far more thoroughly: all services, prices, texts, reviews and contact details go into an extensive report that feeds the first version of your new site. If you share a legal page (privacy or terms), it is preserved word-for-word — in the builder the assistant places it 1-on-1 on its own page, on existing sites too. The start assistant is also more upfront about what the first generation delivers (one page, extendable in the builder).
- New New in the builder: a History tab with all your restore points. Every publish automatically saves a version; roll your site (or a single page) back to an earlier version in one click. The chat assistant knows your history too: say 'restore the previous version' and you pick and confirm the restore point right in the conversation.
-
v1.17.8
- Fixed New sites sometimes got 'Contact' twice in the navigation, and those buttons pointed at a section that wasn't on the page, so they did nothing. Navigation now always points at a section that really exists and duplicate buttons are cleaned up — existing sites heal automatically on their next publish.
-
v1.17.7
- Fixed Visibility on Google is always off (noindex) on the Free plan — but the chat agent and the builder sometimes acted as if they could enable it. Wherever you try, you now see a clear locked notice with an upgrade option: in chat, in the builder and on agent suggestions.
- Fixed On the suggestions screen the agent's question was sometimes cut off mid-sentence and the answer field was a single narrow line. The question now shows in full and your answer fits in a larger text box. You can also drag screenshots straight into the bug report window.
-
v1.17.6
- Fixed On very narrow screens the 'Attach files' and 'Improve prompt' buttons under the start form did not fit side by side. The attach button now shows just the paperclip icon there, so 'Improve prompt' stays readable.
-
v1.17.5
- Fixed You can now actually restore a deleted site within 90 days, as promised: deleted sites stay on your dashboard with a restore button and the date they disappear for good. You also receive an email with a restore link after deleting. Our emails no longer contain emoji either.
-
v1.17.4
- Fixed The stray 'n' label inside the 'New site' button on the dashboard is gone. Starting a new site with the n keyboard shortcut still works.
-
v1.17.3
- Fixed The 'View plans' button on the site settings page had white text on a lime-green button, making it hard to read. The text is now dark and clearly legible.
-
v1.17.2
- Fixed The screen where you pick a site got a refresh: every site now has its own colored initial tile so you scan the list faster, the web address sits on the card as one calm line, and the search field and 'New site' button line up neatly at the top.
- Fixed On the usage page, actions via the MCP connection still showed their technical name (like "mcp_generate_reserve"). They are now simply called "Page generation (MCP)" and "Edit (MCP)".
-
v1.17.1
- Fixed A big polish pass across the whole portal: numbers line up neatly in overviews and tables, long names and addresses no longer spill out of their frames, buttons are easier to tap on mobile, and colors and contrast are consistent everywhere.
-
v1.17.0
- New You can now build multiple pages without an account: the builder preview allows up to 3 pages. After that we tell you honestly how to continue — free account: up to 10 pages, Grow: unlimited.
-
v1.16.5
- Fixed Our AI assistants didn't know yet that multiple pages are now part of the free plan too. The build assistant refused multi-page requests and messages wrongly pointed to a paid plan. Everything now tells the right story: your first draft is one page, after that you add up to 10 for free — and unlimited on Grow or Pro.
-
v1.16.4
- Fixed On mobile, a long site address would break out of the label at the top of your site overview and overlap the rest of the page. The address is now neatly shortened with an ellipsis.
-
v1.16.3
- Fixed Long site addresses also didn't fit their label on your dashboard's site cards. They are now shortened instead of wrapping across the card.
-
v1.16.2
- Fixed On smaller screens, the chat send button on the start page stuck out past the input field. The buttons now arrange themselves neatly inside the field.
-
v1.16.1
- Fixed In build mode, the text next to 'Save & continue' looked oddly stretched across three lines on mobile. Line spacing is back to normal.
-
v1.16.0
- New You can now cancel directly in the hub, no detour via Stripe. Tell us briefly why you're leaving (we learn from it), get one fitting offer where it makes sense — like two months free or pausing your subscription — and see exactly what happens when, before you confirm. Change your mind? Until the end of your paid period one click turns everything back on.
- New You can now truly delete a site: from the danger zone in your site settings we take it offline and clean everything up — hosting, domain link, analytics and spam filter. We keep your content for 90 days, so within that window we can restore everything if you wish.
-
v1.15.1
- Fixed Issues only FWRD can fix — such as a security script blocked by our infrastructure — no longer appear as suggestions in your Studio. Applying such a suggestion would always fail. They now go straight to our team as a report, so a developer can fix it on our side.
- Fixed If applying a suggestion fails, you can now report it to us with one click. We will look into it and fix it on our side if the cause is ours — and you can still simply try again.
-
v1.15.0
- New Some improvements the agent cannot make up — like your correct TikTok link or phone number. Such suggestions now ask for it when you apply: you fill it in, and the agent uses exactly what you provide. Auto-apply skips these suggestions until you approve them yourself.
- New New on your site overview: an agent progress card. See how many suggestions are ready for you, how many were found and applied in the last 30 days, and the latest report's conclusion — so you can see at a glance that your site is improving.
- Fixed Checkout works again for everyone. A small number of accounts had an outdated link to our payment system, so the payment page would not start after 'Confirm and pay'. The HUB now repairs that link automatically and continues straight to the payment page.
- Fixed The cost your AI assistant quotes before you confirm an action is correct again. Since the revamped site report the HUB reserves more credits for a report, but the assistant still showed the old, too-low figure on the confirmation card. Both now read the same rate, so what you see up front is what happens.
-
v1.14.1
- Fixed Approving several suggestions in quick succession now works reliably: approved suggestions join a queue and the agent applies them one at a time. Each suggestion shows whether it is queued or being applied, and you can still withdraw a waiting one.
-
v1.14.0
- New The report page has been redesigned. Your report now reads as a checkup in five clear chapters — traffic, where visitors come from, enquiries, content and technical health — with the plain-language conclusion first and the numbers below it. While generating you see live which step the agent is on, and the automation settings now sit neatly at the bottom (also on the suggestions page).
- Fixed The site checkup wrongly flagged protected email links (Cloudflare email protection) as broken links. These platform links are now recognised and no longer reported as an issue.
- Fixed When switching to another site's report, the previous site's report could briefly stick around. The page now always shows the data of the site you are viewing.
-
v1.13.0
- New The site report is now a full marketing analysis. See visitors and enquiries per page, where visitors come from, which pages need attention and whether your site has broken links — with up to eight concrete improvement suggestions you can apply in one click.
- New Form submissions now show which page the message was sent from. Useful when your site has multiple forms or several pages with a form. Existing sites include this after their next publish.
- New Extra protection against console scams. If someone asks you to paste something into the browser console ("to unlock a free feature"), it's a scam — pasting can hand someone else access to your account. The console itself now shows a clear warning, and the new /security page explains what to do if it already happened and where to report vulnerabilities.
- New You now decide whether we may use cookies for analytics. On your first visit we ask compactly at the bottom of the screen; you can change your choice any time via Account → Settings → Cookies & analytics.
-
v1.12.0
- New Improved platform analytics. We get better insight into how the platform is used, so we can prioritise improvements where they matter most. Nothing changes in how you use the platform.
-
v1.11.2
- Fixed Form submissions come through properly again. A dropdown (for example "preferred time") stayed empty because its options never made it onto your site, and submissions on a client site were missing from the inbox even though they had arrived. Both are fixed, and no existing submissions were lost.
-
v1.11.1
- Fixed On the chat page the title was partly hidden behind the top bar because the page was slightly taller than your screen. That's fixed. The input field also still referred to the "MCP chat"; it now simply invites you to ask a question or describe a change.
-
v1.11.0
- New Working on your site through Claude (MCP)? You now get a proper FWRD card before every action that costs credits — what the agent will do, what it costs and a green confirm button — and a result card afterwards with the page URL plus buttons to publish right away or open the builder.
- Fixed We now state clearly how long we keep AI conversations: up to 90 days for quality and support, after which they are deleted automatically. You will find it at the chat and under Data & privacy in your account settings.
- Fixed Multiple pages now behave the way you'd expect. The preview has tabs to pick which page you're viewing (it previously always showed the homepage), pages created by the AI assistant show up in your menu automatically, and menu links pointing at a page that doesn't exist are cleaned up instead of sending visitors to a 404.
- Fixed You can now wipe a site's AI memory in one go. That clears all your notes plus the summarised edit history the assistant kept — previously you could only delete notes one by one, and that history stayed behind, invisible.
-
v1.10.3
- Fixed Asking for a site that isn't a business — a personal page, portfolio, event, wedding, club or hobby — still produced a company brochure, complete with "Our services", invented figures like "10+ years of experience" and a request-a-quote button. The Site Builder now works out what your site is actually about first and writes copy and buttons to match. Nothing changes for businesses.
- Fixed Creating an account with an email address we already knew failed with "Account creation failed". You now simply receive an email to continue with.
-
v1.10.2
- Fixed Generating pages through Claude (MCP) broke off on longer generations — the connection gave up after a minute while your page was still being built. The integration now keeps the connection alive until your page is ready.
-
v1.10.1
- New Once your custom domain is verified, your site now switches over to it automatically — links, previews and search engines point at your own address instead of the fwrd.digital subdomain.
- Fixed Arriving at signup from a paid plan on the pricing page? The signup page now reflects that plan instead of showing the generic free-tier copy.
-
v1.10.0
- New Click a higher plan on the pricing page while you already run a site? You now land straight in your HUB with an upgrade dialog showing exactly what you pay for the remaining period.
- New Screens that are still fetching numbers or domain status now say so. Your dashboard briefly claimed “no data yet” while your stats were still loading, and the domain page flashed the “add a domain” screen even when you already had one.
-
v1.9.0
- New Pick a paid plan on fwrd.digital and you now create your account first, with the builder starting on that plan right away — at go-live you skip the plan picker and check out directly. Already running a site? You land straight in your HUB.
- New When your AI assistant creates or changes a page, you now get a card with the result: which page it is, the address it will live at, a short summary of what is on it, and what it cost in credits. Not happy with it? 'Redo' generates that same page again — replacing the previous version instead of adding a second one next to it, and showing you the cost again before anything is charged.
- Fixed The HUB now shows the right language straight away. Dutch visitors briefly saw the page in English before it switched over; that flash is gone.
- Fixed Icons in your services blocks now actually render on your site and in the preview — previously an empty square appeared. The assistant now picks from a fixed set of matching icons.
- Fixed If you've connected your own domain, the builder and preview now show that address instead of the fwrd.digital subdomain.
- Fixed The AI chat now fits neatly on your screen on mobile, and the 'report a bug' button no longer overlaps the send button.
- Fixed New sites get a shorter, readable web address — a long business description no longer becomes your subdomain verbatim.
- Fixed The AI memory limit message (200 notes) now appears in your language.
- Fixed The assistant now keeps copy in short blocks (like the hero) concise and places long-form content in a text block.
-
v1.8.0
- New The explainer behind "Learn more" on the start screen has been rewritten from scratch and now lives on fwrd.digital. The old text still described a FWRD that could only build a single page — the new one shows what is actually in there, and what deliberately is not.
- New You can now upload your logo, favicon and share image directly under Settings and in the builder — no more hosting them elsewhere and pasting a link. And when you change your site's title, the name in the HUB now follows along.
- New More room on every plan. Free goes from 1 to 10 pages, and Grow and Pro now have unlimited pages. Grow also covers 5 sites instead of 1. And you no longer have to go live before you can create extra pages — you can do it right away.
- New Existing sites now have a privacy and cookie policy too. Your cookie notice already linked to them, but the pages did not exist yet — they have been created for you, in your site's language, without changing anything on your own pages. The contact address on them is the email you signed up with, which is publicly visible on your site. You'll get a one-time message in the HUB about this, with a button to change it.
-
v1.7.0
- New Your AI assistant can now read and rewrite your pages too. Ask what is on a page and you get a section-by-section overview — the opening section, your FAQ, your pricing — in plain language. To change something, name the section and say what should be different: a shorter heading, a rewritten paragraph, an extra question. Only that section changes, the rest stays put. Editing uses credits just like in the HUB, and you see the cost up front. In Claude you now also get a card showing the cost, your balance and a button to confirm.
- New Your site now gets a real privacy and cookie policy. Until now those were only linked under the cookie notice but did not actually exist — they are created for you automatically, in your site's language, and describe exactly what your site does. You can edit them yourself; the top of the page always shows when they were last updated. Also: the cookie notice and your 404 page now speak your site's language instead of defaulting to Dutch, your 404 page has a new design in your own brand style, and visitors can always change their cookie choice again through the link at the bottom of your site. Fill in your company name and email address under Settings → Legal details to complete the policies.
- Fixed Important fix for MCP access: asking your AI assistant to generate a new page overwrote your existing pages, branding and navigation, leaving just one page behind. From now on a generated page is added alongside the others and everything else is left untouched. Your assistant can now also list your pages (so it won't create duplicates) and respects the page limit of your plan. Reports run through your assistant now show the actual suggestions instead of just a count, and are correctly recorded as your 'last report'.
-
v1.6.1
- Fixed You now always get the newest version of the HUB right away. After an update your browser sometimes kept showing the old page, so you had to refresh to see new features. That's fixed — updates now arrive on their own.
-
v1.6.0
- New MCP access is much easier to set up now. Under Account → Settings → MCP access, simply pick the program you use — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code — and you get numbered steps with ready-made blocks to copy. If you just created a token, it is already filled in for you: copy, paste, done. No technical knowledge required.
-
v1.5.0
- New New: MCP access. Connect FWRD to your AI assistant — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client that supports custom headers — and manage your sites straight from the conversation: view your sites, generate pages and run reports. Create a token under Account → Settings → MCP access. Paid actions use the same credits as the HUB and show the cost before you confirm. You can only ever reach your own sites. (ChatGPT requires an OAuth login for connectors and cannot be connected yet — we're working on it.)
-
v1.4.0
- New Files you upload now show up in the conversation: your attached documents and images appear neatly under your message. And while the assistant works, a live card shows what it's doing — thinking, updating your site, finding images — instead of just a spinner.
- New Your chat conversations are now kept. From the menu you can open and switch between earlier conversations, or start a new one. The document icon in the top right shows every file you uploaded in that conversation at a glance.
-
v1.3.0
- New You can now attach files to the AI — PDF, Word, text, Markdown, CSV and more — and the assistant actually reads them. Upload a brief as a PDF and ask it to build that into your site; it now uses the text from the document instead of just the file name.
- New The AI assistants (at start, in the builder and in chat) now give fuller, more complete answers and remember more of your conversation. You can also send longer messages and briefs in one go.
- Fixed Clear up front: when you start in the builder and when you create an account, you now see a short notice linking to our Terms of Service, EULA and Privacy Policy — so you know what you're agreeing to.
- Fixed Published sites now use the FWRD icon as their default favicon instead of the Astro logo. You can also upload your own favicon (PNG) in the builder — we scale it to the right size automatically.
- Fixed Changing the subdomain of an already-published site now takes effect automatically: the new address goes live and the old one is only removed once the new one is confirmed working — so no downtime.
- Fixed The AI assistant now replies in the language you write in. If you typed in English you would sometimes get a Dutch reply.
- Fixed New sites and pages only get a contact block with a map when there's a real address. Without one you now get a contact form instead of an empty map.
- Fixed In the builder, blocks with multiple text fields now stack neatly and longer texts are proper text areas — much easier to edit.
- Fixed Smaller polish: the back button on the custom-domain page returns to your dashboard, the analytics upgrade button is now readable, and the chat no longer leaves an empty gap after it finishes thinking.
-
v1.2.0
- New When you report a bug you can now tick a box to stay in the loop. You'll get a confirmation and an email whenever we change your report's status — in your own language.
-
v1.1.0
- New You can now see what your plan allows in sites. At your limit, you can upgrade in one step — you only pay the difference for the rest of your period.
- Fixed Setting your own name now actually works: the dashboard greets you with the name you enter, instead of one guessed from your email address.
- Fixed Emails about your site now arrive in the language you signed up in. Dutch-speaking customers sometimes received them in English.
-
v1.0.0
- Platform FWRD is live. Pick a template, shape your brand in the builder, check out, and your site goes live on your own domain automatically — after that you manage everything from the portal.
- New The portal speaks Dutch and English. We pick your language based on your country, and you can switch manually at any time.
- New See visitor stats, usage and billing for every site in a single overview.
